Our Traditional martial arts classes are more than just a way to stay fit and disciplined. They can also teach you the skills you need to defend yourself in real-life situations. By learning practical techniques like striking, grappling, and joint locks, you can gain the confidence and peace of mind to stay safe.

But self-defense isn't just about physical techniques. Our program also teach you the mental tools you need to recognize and avoid dangerous situations. You'll learn how to stay aware of your surroundings, assess potential threats, and stay calm and composed under pressure.

OUR MARTIAL ARTS STYLE

At our martial arts school, we are proud to teach American Tang Soo Do, a unique style that combines elements from various other martial arts, including Hapkido, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This style was made popular by Chuck Norris, who brought it over from Korea and made it his own.

We have immense respect for the art and its history, and we work hard to preserve its traditional techniques while also incorporating other arts like Krav Maga and kickboxing.

By combining these different styles, we create a comprehensive training program that covers everything from traditional forms to grappling techniques. We believe in empowering our students with a well-rounded set of skills that will help them in any self-defense situation.

It's also the art that is practiced on the Netflix show Cobra Kai!

REVIEWS

- Michael P

"I joined cutting edge approximately 4 to 5 months ago. I couldn’t be more pleased. Master Kemmer is a great instructor he is very knowledgeable and patient I’ve seen all ages enjoying this class. I would recommend the school to everyone. I look forward to all my classes!"

- Christine Davidian

"Being 32 years old, with a chaotic work life, I'd been a little hesitant at first to take up karate. For months, despite having a keen interest in martial arts, I felt a little hesitant to enroll. At first I thought it would be grueling experience, but seeing how patient and encouraging Master Kemmer was, and how inviting the other students were, I felt totally at ease.

Every student in the adult class is at a different skill level, but there is no conflict, no judgements and no animosity of any kind. There's a kind of family atmosphere at Cutting Edge & that's awesome! Though I've nearly just begun, all I can say, is that my experience has been nothing short of stellar and amazing! I can't wait to see where my karate journey takes me."

- Leah Joy

"I love Cutting Edge and the training is outstanding. The instuctors are super friendly, and I consider them like family. They talk about great life qualities and help you improve on so much!"
